In 1942, Mr. José Bravo Atienza opened his first shoe store in Caballero de Gracia street. Very soon, this store called Bravo becomes a benchmark in the footwear sector. Encouraged by his success, José and his brother Gregorio begin to open new stores.
 
Fifteen years later, in 1957, the two brothers decided to follow different paths in the world of the shoe store. Its founder, José, supported by his sons Carlos and Ángel, face new challenges under the name of Bravo Java. Since then, they have opened several stores throughout Spain.

Currently, the third generation continues to fit the public always under the premises of quality, elegance and comfort.
In addition to presenting own and exclusive designs, Bravo Java works with the best brands in the sector. His experience and constant search for new formulas have made him one of the most traditional establishments in Madrid and Barcelona.
